12-12-25   THOUGHTS

Hebrews 11 is the great chapter on FAITH, and these verses are key to that chapter.  Faith is seeing clearly from a distance, things that cannot be seen physically.  Faith becomes powerful enough to mimic sight. The “confession to be strangers and exiles”  is the equivalent of dying to self and worldly things.   This is walking in the Spirit and the light.  This is making who we are a CLEAR, LIVING declaration!  

Heb 11:13-16     All these died in faith, without receiving the promises, but having seen them and having welcomed them from a distance, and having confessed that they were strangers and exiles on the earth. 14  For those who say such things make it clear that they are seeking a country of their own. 15  And indeed if they had been thinking of that country from which they went out, they would have had opportunity to return. 16  But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God; for He has prepared a city for them.

Our Prayer:
Father, may we declare by our living that we belong to You!  Help this world to see our joy as we bear Your image.  May we follow the WAY into Your presence, and help others as we go.  
May compassion and mercy and love be the hallmark of our lives.  Give us a humble boldness to make our influence known to all neighbors.  Your adopted children lift up Your great name with love.   In the name of Jesus,    Amen.
